Escuela Caracol’s staff of teachers had the joy of imparting a Waldorf Pedagogy Workshop to the families and members of the community of San Juan La Laguna. While the parents were participating in a presentation about the pedagogical approach, their children were enjoying a demonstrative class imparted by the Escuela Caracol’s team of teachers.

The teachers, with all the experience achieved along the years in Escuela Caracol, got inspired and exposed the pedagogy’s origins, what is it all about, its importance in the children holistic development, and the general curricula from kindergarten to sixth grade (Guatemala’s primary cycle). During the activity, the attendants had the chance to recite a verse, and to learn a rhythm, after this happened, they had time to clear their doubts regarding Waldorf and our school.

During the demonstrative lesson, children sang, played, painted, and used their creativity while being guided by our kindergarten teachers.

When the activity ended, all our guests expressed gratitude towards our teachers.

This was a very special and motivational moment between bees, flowers, and trees, in a very magical place, Xunaah Kab’, an ecological project handled by the Cholotío’s, a beloved family from Escuela Caracol’s community.

Escuela Caracol is not limited to a classroom, Escuela Caracol is a community. Support us and help us continue nurturing the heads, hands, and heads of children from the western region of Lake Atitlán, donate or sponsor a student now. (follow the link to donate)
